Experience Matters

With over 30 years of hands on experience, Sharon brings a depth of knowledge that spans Transport, Waste and Recycling, Manufacturing, Industrial Materials and Metal Distribution, Retail, Industrial Services and Commercial Support, and the Food industry. This broad background gives her a practical understanding of the real challenges SMEs face every day. Sharon also spent four years as Chair of the Lancashire Occupational Health and Safety Group (LOHSG) and now continues to support the charity as Treasurer, reflecting her long standing commitment to raising standards across the profession. Combined with her CIPD Level 5 qualification in Human Resources, she offers a unique blend of safety expertise and people focused insight, ensuring every client receives grounded, reliable, and genuinely effective support.

Sharon’s career has progressed through a series of increasingly senior and multidisciplinary roles, giving her a well rounded understanding of both operational and organisational needs. She began as a Health and Safety Advisor, supporting frontline teams and developing practical, hands on solutions to everyday safety challenges. She then advanced to Health and Safety Manager, taking on wider responsibility for compliance, risk management, and the development of safety systems. Her role later expanded to Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager, where she led integrated management systems and drove continual improvement across multiple disciplines. Sharon has also held the position of Head of HR, adding strategic people management, employee relations, and organisational development to her skillset. Building on this extensive experience, she has now moved into the role of Consultant, providing SMEs with tailored, practical support that draws on decades of real world expertise.
